Lake, Algae and Kanga-walla-foxes

A closer look at the water shows a beautiful effect on the lake surface from algae, blue green algae occur naturally in marine waters, rivers, lakes, damp soil, tree trunks, hot springs and snow. Despite their name, blue green algae are actually types of bacteria known as Cyanobacteria.
